Jung Jae Sung / Lee Yong Dae take the All-England men’s doubles title

The final of the All-England men’s doubles title saw Jung Jae SungLee Yong Dae take on Cai Yun / Fu Hai Feng. An almost full-house saw this duel between two of the leading men’s doubles pairs. The result saw  Jung Jae SungLee Yong Dae beat the pair from China 21:23,21:9 and 21:14 to take the All-England title again after their 2008 win.

After the match, the pair said that the enthusiastic welcome they had received from fans at the BWF Super Series All England Open really impressed them. The match was also very important to the pair and they were determined to put on a good show for the fans. Jung added the win was especially sweet because they lost to the same opponents at the Victor Korea Super Series early in the year and were able to even the score.

In other matches Indonesia’s Tontowi Ahmad / Liliyana Natsir defeated Denmark’s Thomas laybourn/ Kamilla Rytter Juhl to take the title in the mixed doubles. In the women’s singles, China’s Li Xuerui beat Wang Yihan, taking her second title in two weeks after winning the German Open title. In the women’s’ double Tian Qing/Zhao Yunlei beat Yu Yang/Wang Shaoli in two games. In the most eagerly anticipated match, the men’s singles final, Lin Dan took the title after winning the first game when Lee Chongwei withdrew from the match due to injury.
